The Past

11 January - The Council’s planning committee turns down GCCC’s plans to build flats to finance ground improvements.

November 2010 - planning meeting cancelled again.

25 October - GCCC’s revised plans appear on BCC’s planning website.

23 June – Bristol City Council planners formally received GCCC’s new application.

January 2011 – Reception classes held for first time in the new primary school. HowZat? supports the expansion of the school to 420 pupils.

Autumn 2010 – GCCC fails to submit the “reserved matters” planning application needed to get the student accommodation off the ground. GCCC now admits the proposed student accommodation was in the wrong place.

What Happens When

Next Big Thing – We wait to see whether GCCC will appeal against the rejection of its plans, but we hope it decides to come up with more realistic plans that respect the local area and its residents.
